A Meets

Woodley Gardens Swim Team hosts an A team and a B team.  The A team swimmers participate in the MCSL dual meets on Saturdays. This year WGST is in the MCSL "C" Division.  Typically, the top swimmers in each event/age group will swim in the A Meet.  Coach Clay will post the A Team lineup on Thursday mornings before each A Meet.  The coach uses the times from the previous evenings' B Meet and the times from the past week's A meet to determine his lineup, which is up to his discretion.  It is important to let Coach Clay know a.s.a.p. if you are going to be away for any meet, as his lineup is based on the assumption that the swimmer will be present.  Please write any meets you will miss on an index card and place on Clay's desk at least one week before the missed date.

A Meets Begin at 9 am on Saturdays

B Meets

All members of the WGST are encouraged to participate in B Meets.  Swimmers who swim an A event may not swim that same event in the subsequent B meet.  Swimmers who swim 3 A meet events do not typically swim in the B meets.  

B Meet swimmers must be signed by the Tuesday before each Wednesday B Meet!  It is the responsibility of the swimmer, not the coaches, to physically sign up for the B Meet.  Swimmers should sign up on the poster in the WGST announcement area, adjacent to the entrance to the mens showers/rest room.
